Updated guidance as it relates to AACA and the population we serve mitigates the following:

The order has been revised to align with the updated LACDPH Health Office Order regarding indoor masking. For most individuals in the school setting, masking may be based on individual preference. Exceptions are individuals who have returned to school before completing 10 days of isolation after a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis and individuals who are within 10 days of close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.
If not under an exemption, those persons continue to be required to mask around others. Also, individuals who are more vulnerable to developing severe COVID-19 disease are strongly recommended to wear a highly protective mask in crowded, indoor settings with poor ventilation. Masking recommended for all individuals in the school nurse’s or health office, except when one staff member is working alone in the space.
