The Academy for Advancement of Children with Autism (AACA) operates California-certified Nonpublic, Nonsectarian School (NPS) programs serving students with individualized special education needs.AACA provides specialized educational programming and works collaboratively with families, Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), educators, service providers, and IEP teams to support each student’s individual educational program.
A Nonpublic, Nonsectarian School (NPS) is a private, nonsectarian school certified by the California Department of Education to provide special education services to students with exceptional needs pursuant to an Individualized Education Program (IEP).An NPS is one option within the continuum of special education settings. Educational placement decisions for individual students are addressed through the applicable educational and IEP processes.
AACA’s certified Nonpublic School programs serve students ages 5-22.Because every student’s circumstances and educational needs are unique, questions regarding an individual student or potential placement are considered on an individual basis.
